Dr. Timothy Earley was born and raised in the mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania. He obtained his undergraduate Biology/Pre-med degree from The University of Scranton in 1994. He then earned his B.S. in Vision Sciences and his Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Tim joined the Medina Vision Centre in Medina, OH. There he served as the co-owner, vice president/secretary, and director of human resources for 23 years. In December 2020, Medina Vision Centre became part of Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons, a multi-location, multidisciplinary practice offering care at six locations in NE Ohio. Dr. Tim is a therapeutically licensed optometrist with special interests in age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, dry eye disease, the co-management of ophthalmic surgery, and the fitting of specialty contact lenses.
He also participates in InfantSee, a public health program designed to ensure that vision care becomes an essential part of infant wellness. Dr. Earley is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association, and the Ohio Optometric Association. He is a national and international speaker and eyecare consultant. He works closely with numerous eyecare industry partners, primarily in the areas of novel diagnostic equipment and implementation/workflow in the clinic setting. Dr. Earley is passionate about motivating his teams and his co-workers to build successful doctor/patient relationships that offer world-class care. He has been published in Optometric Management, Advanced Ocular Care, Review of Optometry, and Modern Optometry. He is a COPE-approved continuing education lecturer, a professionally trained public speaker, and content creator.
When not performing his professional responsibilities, Dr. Earley enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Andrea Earley, and his three children. He enjoys the outdoors, hiking, golfing, gardening, and tending to his flock of chickens.
